The History of J&W
Like many great things, Jeeps & Wrenches was born out of necessity—and a desire for something more.
At the time, there was a local Jeep group in the Nashville area that primarily existed as an online forum, with only a handful of opportunities for members to meet in person. A small group of local Jeep enthusiasts began getting together from time to time at Hooters in Hermitage, sharing stories, talking about their Jeeps, and building friendships.
Those casual meetups sparked an idea: Why not create something bigger?
What started as a few local Jeep enthusiasts simply looking for a place to connect eventually grew into Jeeps & Wrenches, a community built around friendship, fellowship, off-road adventure, and giving back. Since 2013, J&W has continued to grow while staying true to the same idea that started it all—bringing people together through their shared passion for Jeeps and the off-road lifestyle.
The original J&W logo had an even more personal beginning—it was inspired by a tattoo belonging to one of the club’s founders.
From the very beginning, the founders envisioned a club built around fun, off-road adventure, friendship, and a shared love of Jeeps. What started with a handful of enthusiasts and a simple idea would grow into the community Jeeps & Wrenches is today.
And the rest, as they say… is history!
